New! Pokahnights Pocket Series
At Pokahroom Middelkerke, we are building step by step on a solid foundation. In recent months we have already experimented with our offerings, and we have learned a lot from that. Based on these experiences, we will work on a balanced and attractive programming in the coming period. You can read the details of the new weekly schedule here, but in this article we would like to present you a newcomer to the programming: the Pokahnights Pocket Series!
Bite-sized five-day festivals
In addition to the big events like the PNO and the WSOP Circuit, we are also bringing two more compact festivals to Middelkerke in the fall. The Pokahnights Pocket Series last five days each, from Thursday to Monday, and are scheduled during the regular opening days of the Pokahroom.
The first edition will take place from October 9 to 13, with the second edition to follow in December from December 11 to 15. Each Pocket Series guarantees a prize pool of €65,000, and as previous festivals have proven, that amount can still go up considerably.
Two multi-day tournaments
The Main Event of the Pocket Series will be our signature 7-Max with a buyin of 250 Euros. That's 3 flights, a day 2 and final day combined with a structure to make your mouth water. Poker from the top shelf. In addition to the Main event, we also provide a Highroller of 550 euros. This event will run over 2 days, Saturday and Sunday.
PN Pocket Series Highlights
In addition to the multi-day events, we have provided some fun highlights. On Saturday we will play a PKO as well as a PLO5 event. On Sunday and Monday it's time for action events. On Sunday we run the newest Pokahnights format, the Chilly Threes, which is an event with max 2 re-entries, 3 entries in total. On Monday, as the closing event of the series, we play a festival edition of the Sweet Sixes, our signature 6-Max with a higher buy-in than usual.
PKO
The Pocket Series' Progressive Knock Out event combines prize money with bounties. With each knockout, you win half of your opponent's bounty; the other half is added to the bounty on your own head. Thus, the bounties get bigger and bigger!
Chilly Threes
A Texas Hold'em event with a limited number of entries per player, specifically 3. Chilly... but just short of a freeze out. It's not that you only have 1 chance but at least not infinitely many.
PLO 4-5-6
An event that brings extra variety to the table! The player on the button chooses whether to play PLO4, PLO5 or PLO6. Thus, the dynamics change every hand and you get a unique action-packed Omaha experience.
The Closer
We conclude the first Pocket Series with The Closer. This special edition of the Sweet Sixes event at Pokahroom Middelkerke features dedicated dealers, a buy-in of €125 and a guaranteed prize pool of €1,250.
Heading into the WSOP Circuit Main Event
October's PN Pocket Series just falls into the run up to the WSOP Circuit in Middelkerke. During this Series we will organize several Step 1 WSOP Circuit Qualifiers on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. For €35 you can enter a Step 1 and try to win a €175 ticket to the finals. The big WSOP Circuit Super Satellite follows on Saturday, October 25, with 5 guaranteed €1,500 Main Event tickets in the prize pool.
Playing schedule
PN Pocket Series #01 - Oct. 9 to 13
The first edition of the PN Pocket Series will be played from Oct. 9 to 13, 2025 at Pokahroom Middelkerke. On the schedule are two multi-day events and seven single-day tournaments, together good for a guaranteed prize pool of €65,000. And as we've seen in previous festivals, that pot could grow considerably.
In addition to the tournaments, we also provide several satellites and run ongoing cash games. We have a generous capacity of 35 tables, pre-registration is not necessary for the Pocket Series. Everything can be arranged on site, starting one hour before the tournament starts each time.
