Pokahroom Antwerp
A combination of an annual membership fee and a low rake
Pokahroom Antwerp is a poker club. This means that we only organize self-deal events with a maximum buy-in of 50 euro in this venue. For the operation of this room we provide an annual membership fee and very democratic rake for the tournaments themselves. We work with 3 different buyins: €35, €40 and €50, there is a rake of €4, €5 or €6 respectively. This is an average of 12%, one of the more competitive rates in the market.
Pokahrome Middelkerke
A three-part full 360° live poker offer
Pokahroom Middelkerke is a poker casino. This means that we offer there for a full live poker offer tailored to each player. We choose to build on 3 pillars:
self-deal club poker tournaments of 50 euros with a maximum of one re-entry
casino live poker tournaments starting from 125 euros with dealers and multiple re-entries
cash games starting from €2/€2 with a cap of €10, of course also with dealers
Each pillar has its own rake model to ensure that we can provide maximum value to the live poker community.
CLUB POKER: 12% RAKE & NO MEMBERSHIP FEE
Each club poker tournament has a buyin of 50 euros.
We provide 12% rake, or 6 euros, for each entry.
There is no membership fee to participate in club poker tournaments.
A maximum of 1 re-entry is allowed in Club Poker tournaments.
CASINO POKER: 8% RAKE & 20 EURO MEMBERSHIP FEE PER GAME DAY
Casino poker tournaments start with buyin starting at 125 euros.
We provide an average of 8% rake, for each entry.
A one-time daily membership fee of 20 euros must be paid to participate in casino poker tournaments.
The daily membership fees paid are the source of income for Pokahnights ASBL. These funds are used to guarantee our works on the 5 domains above. By operating the casino, we have been able to guarantee probably the lowest rake in Europe. Like us, Casino Middelkerke Betfirst wants to bet on poker with a strong offer and competitive rates. The membership fee is a one-time fee per day, regardless of how many entries or participations you make in one or more live casino tournaments.
CASH GAMES: RAKE IN SLICES & A LOW CAP PER HAND
The most commonly played cash games are 2€/2€ or 5€/5€
On request, 5€/10€ or 10€/20€ can be played
Depending on the stake, pots are divided into disks of 20 euros, 100 euros or more. The disc within which a pot falls will determine the rake. The higher the stake of the table, the lower the rake.
For each table stake there is a cap per hand provided, that is, the rake of a hand will never be higher than the cap.
There is no membership fee to participate in the cash games.
Examples
Transparency, clarity and no surprises
We think it is important that every player is perfectly aware of the rake model used in the different Pokahrooms of Pokahnights. Below we provide some examples. If you still have questions about the model we use, do not hesitate to contact us.

New players pay a one-time fee of 15 euros. This allows them to enjoy the operation of the club for 1 year. Jan played in the 40 euro Crazy Eights event and did not do any re-entries. So in total Jan spent 55 euros. 15 euros as membership fee of the non-profit organization, 5 euros rake and 35 euros for the prize pool.
Jan liked it and decided to come again 2 weeks later to play in the same event. He no longer had to pay a membership fee, only the buyin of the tournament. 40 euros in total, 35 euros for the prize pool and 5 euros as rake for the operation of the NPO.

Naima was in the mood for a day of live poker. She has already mastered the game and went to Pokahroom Middelkerke where two events were on the agenda. She did 2 entries in The Queens Millions with a buy-in of 175 euro and in the evening she also played 1 entry in the Famous Fives of 375 euro.
Naima paid a one-time 20 euro membership fee. She also paid 2× 15 euros rake for The Queens Millions, and 1× 30 euros for the Famous Fives, making a total of 60 euros. A total of 665 euros of her total budget went to the prize pool.
Over the whole day she paid 745 euros. 80 euros of that did not go to the prize pool. This amounts to 10.73%, a very competitive percentage for a premium casino poker offering. -
Vincent found AA at the 5€/5€ cash game table. Luck smiled on him as two other players also found a strong hand. After a lot of action, 640 euros was on the table. The croupier shoved 620 euros to him and took 20 euros rake.
At the 5€/5€ cash game tables we work with a cap of 20 euros from the moment the pot exceeds 395 euros, which in this case was the case. So a rake of 3.12% was taken. A very acceptable percentage for cash games.
Not much later, Vincent played another nice hand. The pot went up to 375 euros. Of which he got 360 euros, 15 euros rake was taken. That's right, the pot did not exceed 395 euros. This means that the pot was placed in the penultimate bracket, good for 15 euros or 4% rake.
