Sportify Poker

From the very start, Pokahnights has been committed to making poker accessible, competitive, and recognized as a true mind sport. Based on stats, experience, and game analysis, it’s clear that poker is fundamentally a skill game. That vision was confirmed in 2024, when poker was officially recognized as a mind sport by the IMSA.

Today, we're working toward the full sportification of poker.

Soon, all Pokahnights players will get access to personal results, rankings, competitions, and their own achievements page. This ambitious project is being developed in collaboration with Days of Poker, a new and carefully crafted media platform for the global poker scene.

Pokahchamp

Since 2009, the Pokahchamp has been the traditional season finale of the Pokahnights year. In this championship tournament the club’s top players battle for the title. In 2025, the event received a major upgrade in terms of qualification, fully aligned with the Sportify Poker principles. And of course, Pokahchamp finalists can look forward to an attractive added prize pool.

All Time

In 2023, we introduced the €50 Club Poker events to our club circuit. Since then, we’ve carefully tracked every tournament result and built a comprehensive ranking based on this database. In the coming years, this will serve as the foundation for expanding the full Sportify Poker concept.

3 basic principles for points

When awarding points for Pokahnights Achievements that are used to calculate a player’s monthly score we follow three core principles: only event achievements count, the status of an achievement sets the maximum score, and every player competes on equal footing each month.

Only for Event Achievements!

Pokah League points, class rankings, and progression to Pokahchamp are based exclusively on Event Achievements. There are many other collectable achievements, but they have no impact on your points. This keeps everything clear and easy to follow for everyone.

Status determines points!

The number of points you earn for Event Achievements depends on your Lifetime status. You can never score more points for an achievement than your status allows. This rewards players with play regularly and consistently achieve good results.

A fresh start every month!

The number of ITM achievements in a given month determines the maximum points you can earn for any achievement. Each ITM unlocks the next level. This ensures all players compete on equal footing. At the start of each new month, every player's ITM counter resets.

The more ITM achievements you earn in a month, the more points you can score. Your Lifetime status combined with your monthly ITM count determines how many points you receive for each achievement.

Status
Each achievement follows a lifetime flow. This flow defines how many times you need to hit a specific achievement before leveling up to the next status. There are five status levels: Micro, Low, Mid, High, and Ultra.

Classes and Pokahchamp
Event Achievements specifically have a point value based on their status. These points decide which class a player will compete in and whether they can secure a ticket to the Pokahchamp.

EXAMPLE 1 - NO ULTRA SCORE FOR RALF'S WIN

This month, Ralf earned 2 achievements: one ITM and a Top 10 finish. He’s been a club member for over 10 years and has won more than 20 live events, earning him the lifetime Ultra status for both the Win and ITM achievements. Yesterday, he won another event and picked up 36 points… Why?

It was Ralf's second ITM achievement this month. This means that he can score maximum points in the Low status of the achievements. Both his ITM and Win are at Ultra but these points are not awarded because it is only about the second ITM. So that's 12 points for the ITM and 24 for the Win, good for a total of 36 points.

EXAMPLE 2 - AGAIN NO ULTRA SCORE FOR ISABELLE'S WIN

Isabelle has collected dozens of TOP 3 achievements in the club, but has not been able to get a Win yet. This month she was on a roll with 7 ITM finishes, but still no Win ... until yesterday where she crushed a big field and took home her very first Pokahnights Win. Good for 43 points. Why?

Even though her ITM counter this month was at 7 already, normally good for Ultra scores, she got only 19 points for the Win. After all, it was her first Win ever, so her lifetime status for the Win is Micro, so she cannot get more points than the Micro points. For the ITM she did of course get the Ultra score, which is lifetime on Ultra ánd it was already her 8th ITM yesterday so GG and 24 points there, good for a total of 43 points.
